Overview
Cerwin GPS is a cross-platform mobile application for monitoring and interacting with connected vehicles.
The application combines live GPS data, interactive maps, vehicle state, telemetry, alarms, geofences, and remote device commands into a single mobile experience.
What I built
The application includes:
- Real-time vehicle tracking
- Interactive MapLibre maps
- Vehicle markers and direction handling
- Location history
- Geofencing
- Alarm monitoring
- Remote device commands
- Fuel and telemetry views
- Device access management
- Light and dark themes
- Responsive mobile and web layouts
Maps and real-time data
The map is one of the central parts of the application.
Vehicle positions need to update without making the interface feel unstable or causing unnecessary camera movement.
The application therefore separates live tracking, historical playback, map rendering, camera following, and user interaction into distinct concerns.
Navigation architecture
The application uses GoRouter for navigation and Riverpod for application state.
Particular attention was given to navigation lifecycle and map-controller ownership because map widgets maintain native resources that should not be manually disposed of by unrelated application layers.
Result
Cerwin GPS provides a focused interface for interacting with the connected-device platform from mobile and web environments while keeping real-time telemetry, mapping, and remote operations in one application.
